A look back at the Popular iPhone 6 and 6 Plus

Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus

Pictures and videos are the major pastime for millennials today with applications such as Snap Chat, Instagram and Facebook live feeds, everyone is posting. Both Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus come with great cameras that can make your picture seem as though it was taken in a studio. Their cameras are excellent and the phones would receive software upgrades for years to come. The only major difference between these two models is the display. The iPhone 6 plus is obviously larger in size with a 5.5-inch display and its resolution is higher, 1920x1080-pixel at 401 ppi, with a contrast ration of 1300:1 but, interestingly, the iPhone 6 with a 4.7-inch display and a resolution of 1334x750-pixel at 326 ppi,has a better contrast ratio of 1400:1. Unfortunately though, the iPhone 6 plus comes with optical image stabilisation (OIS), making its camera far better than that of the iPhone 6 but both phones feature an 8-megapixel iSight,LED flash and a 1080p video.

The battery life is integral to a phones functionality and with phones being in use almost 24/7, you need to know that you have a battery that can pull you through your day. The iPhone 6 plus being obviously larger than the iPhone 6, would have a larger battery and slightly longer battery life. With the iPhone 6 plus, you can talk for up to 24 hours but only for 14 hours on the iPhone 6. Although, who talks for 24 hours anyway? You have 16 days of standby time, 12 hours of Internet use, 14 hours of video playback and 80 hours of audio playback with the iPhone 6 plus. The iPhone 6 offers 10 days of standby time, 10 hours of Internet usage, 11 hours of video playback and 50 hours of audio playback. Basically, the iPhone 6 plus has a +20% better battery life but both phones are still very good in the battery life department.

The storage size, operating system (OS), processor, RAM and graphics are the same in both phones. Storage capacity ranges are 16GB, 64GB and 128GB on iOS 8. The OS can be upgraded for years to come so do not worry about purchasing an outdated phone. Both phones carry an Apple M8 motion co-processor, 1GB Ram and have a 1.4GHz Apple A8 dual-core Cyclone. The cost of these phones vary but at Handtech, you can get these phones for reasonably good prices and a guaranteed 12-month warranty. You can even trade in your old phones for cash and upgrade to any model you prefer. Other than the size, the optical image stabilization feature and maybe a 20% extension on the battery life, there really isn’t any major difference between the two phones. If you prefer a slightly smaller phone that can fit into your pocket, then I suggest the iPhone 6 but if you like the larger display and need the optical image stabilization feature for taking images and videos, then the iPhone 6 plus is right for you.
